The life of an artist or a writer is one that is filled with a lot of tension between competing priorities. As we talk about writing that helps grow your business, one of the tensions we face is the balance between writing for fun and curiosity, versus the importance of keeping the business side in mind by filling a niche or writing for a specific audience.

I’m thrilled that our guest today is here to help us navigate through these complex waters. Her name is Joanne Miller, and she’s the co-author of several books, including Be Your Finest Art and Creating a Haven of Peace. I was thrilled to learn a couple of years ago that Joanne was using my book, The Artist’s Suitcase, in her art classes. And over the last few years, I have come to really appreciate both Joanne and her husband, Dan, for their creative approach to life.

In today’s conversation, we explore a number of themes from her amazing book Be Your Finest Art, including creativity, awakening, listening, and new beginnings. Joanne also shares her experience as an author, as well as some great advice for anyone thinking about writing a book.

I also want to mention that Joanne has generously given our podcast listeners a special deal on the Be Your Finest Art book. For more details, you can connect with Joanne at her email address, which is joanne@joannefmiller.com

You can find all of Joanne’s books and art at her website, https://joannefmiller.com/
